2. Chris Vinney, who is running for CDP Chair, spoke about coordination of state party. Also asked what attendees wanted for the future of the CDP. Chris Vinney’s website is: www.chrisvineyforcdp.com.
3. Jason Elliott representing Gavin Newsom for Governor: Informed attendees of upcoming Event in San Jose on February 10, 2009 at 6:00 pm at the Roosevelt Community Center. Event will be in a Town Hall Form. Events will also be held in every county of California.
b) Fill vacancies to County Committee
1. 20th Assembly District – 2: Nominations Needed: Eric Larson, Patrick Ahrens, Henry Manayan, and Marsha Grilli were nominated.

i. No Nominations were received.
c) Fill vacancies of County Committee Members to State Central Committee (let us know if you’re not going to use your county spot)
1. Need to have a gender balance.
2. 33 individuals are currently on County Committee and are taking seats on the State Central Committee. 8 vacancies should be allocated to women, for equity purposes.

2. Recognized Peninsula Democratic Club for furnishing this evenings food. Dean Democratic Club to provide food for March, 2009 meeting.
3. Recognition made to Clubs who have been phone banking for Madison Recall campaign.

1. Electronic convention to nominate positions. Each County Central Committee – 2 delegates/AD (14 delegates that County Committee can appoint who will appoint as electronic county delegate to convention). 1 delegate for club.

10. ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. Javier Gonzalez: Seeking to be appointed to San Jose/Evergreen Community College.
b. Lisa Jensen: Seeking to be appointed to San Jose/Evergreen Community College.
c. Jackie Heffner - South Valley YMCA – Community Support Campaign – Seeking monetary donations to provide funding for children and adults in the community.
d. Andre Macapinlac – Democratic Caucus from San Jose State. Caucus made $60 from baked goods that were sold during tonight’s meeting.

Club Reports:
Evergreen Democratic Club – Newly re-elected President recently resigned. Past president has agreed to serve as current president. Club is donating $50 towards Madison’s recall campaign.
Santa Clara Democratic Club – At the February meeting, the Club pass a Resolution on the environment. Discussions also took place regarding the single-payer health update. Invitation to meet with Zoe Lofgren was sent to give support.
DAWN – Carol Garvey thanked attendees for their support. New President is Noelani Sallings. Club is continuing to support Madison Nguyen’s. Noelani Sallings acknowledged Carol Garvey as Past President of DAWN. Club gave $700 towards Madison’s Recall campaign. Attendees were informed of the upcoming Annual DAWN Brunch, which will be held on March 29, 2009.
Dean Democratic Club: Voted for the club’s top 10 goals and formed task forces.
Silicon Valley Democratic Club – Name changed from Moorpark Democratic Club. The board was increased to 17 members, many of which are former Gish volunteers. New Executive Board was elected. Margie Mitchell – President and Clarence Madrilejos – Vice President.
Silicon Valley Latino Forum: Continuing to support and work on Madison’s Recall campaign.
LGBT – David Parker has been elected President for balance of year. Omar Torres is now Vice President. Prop 8: March 5 Supreme Court will hear arguments from both sides. The court has 90 days to make a ruling. Petitions are currently being circulated to overturn Prop 8.
Bay Area for Change: Thanked attendees for approving and certifying the Club.
Obama Valley Democratic Club – First organization meeting was in January, 2009. Club has a Facebook account. E-Mail address for Club is: obamadcsv@gmail.com.
Bay Area Iranian Democratic Club – Supported No on Recall of Madison Nguyen and Appeal of Prop 8.
