CENTRAL COMMITTEE DELEGATES
SCCDCC has 43 delegate spots
on the DSCC. There are 42 elected
members of SCCDCC. Steve Preminger and
Mark Moore declined their spots, leaving 3 openings. To achieve gender balance, the three openings need to be filled
by women. Nominations: Jennifer Myronuk, Merilee Shelton, Carol
Garvey, Pearl Cheng, Deborah Lennon, Tori Ueda. Shelton, Garvey, Cheng elected.

general meeting Jan 22 11:30, Golden Wok Restaurant in Mountain View
Dean
Club (Carolyn Curtis) - The Dean Democratic Club, now over 100 members strong,
held two meetups Wed Jan 5 as its general/outreach meeting. Using kits sent by
national Democracy for America, we showed Prof. Lakoff's DVD "How
Democrats & Progressives Can Win" to groups of 25 & 50+ people in
two locations in the county, followed by a workshop in which all participated.
Several members are running in their ADs
to be representatives to the state party. One co-chair, Jim Ross, was appointed
to the county central committee by Jerry McNerney, & our other co-chair was
appointed as a state party representative by Ira Ruskin.
Club members are working hard on the election
fraud issue, and also on the Dean for DNC chair campaign, verifiable voting in
CA, sponsoring a Lakoff event, building the club, and on becoming more
active in the local party.

SCCDC (Alicia Lanier) 3 members sworn in tonight as cc members. Jan meeting at Carrows.
South County Club (Mark Moore) Sat Jan 22 Gilroy 10:00.
November 2005 Gilroy City Council election 2 weak Republicans up for
reelection. BBQ planned for spring in
San Martin.
27th AD reorg meeting Jan 9 in Aptos.
28th AD reorg meeting Jan 9 in Salinas.
PDC (Jon Kessler) Legislative luncheon with Congresswoman Eshoo Jan. 22.
LGBT Club (Clark Williams) meetings now the 4th Monday of the
month. Sat Feb 5 will go to Napa to
support gay candidate running in March election.
DAWN (Carol Garvey) Julie Lind new board member. Donated to women candidates $4600 in 2004. Jan. 30 brunch, City College Community Room
guests Rebecca Cohn, Jamie McLeod.

report - Steve Chessin
December taping was with our own Anne Mack. Our guest in January
will be Neil Struthers, CEO of the Building Trades Council. This show will be our 10th anniversary show.
We
will be on San Jose AT&T Channel 15A January 13th with the show we taped with Dr. Terry Christensen on the election results,
January 27th with the show we
taped with Anne Mack, and February 10th and March 10th with the show we will tape with Neil Struthers.
Our
shows are also aired in Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Stanford, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Cupertino,
Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Morgan
Hill, and San Martin. Our airdates in Morgan Hill keep changing; they now seem
to be 8:30pm every Monday and
Tuesday.
We
could still use more good Democrats on the crew. No prior video experience is necessary.
