I pledge to conduct my campaign for public office openly and fairly. I will discuss the issues and participate in fair debate with respect to the views and qualifications of the candidates.

I also pledge that I will not engage in defamatory attacks upon the character of my opponents, nor shall I engage in unwarranted invasions of personal privacy unrelated to campaign issues or the platform of the Democratic Party.

I further pledge that I will not use any campaign material or advertisement which falsifies the facts regarding any candidate.

Finally, I pledge that I will publicly repudiate support deriving from any individual or group whose activities would violate this Fair Campaign Pledge.

I understand that violation of any of these pledges will result in the revocation of any endorsement that I may receive from the Democratic Party.
