F.  Community Services & Voter Registration: Scott Rafferty

 

Scott reported on the lawsuit Preminger vs VA.  Hearing will be on Mon Aug 9, where they are expecting a preliminary injunction.  Steve was banned from the premises so that he wouldn’t engage in partisan activity.  The lawsuit should dramatize the administration’s desire to keep people from voting.

For UDC, money is coming in at rate we're spending it

 

 

H. Candidate Recruitment and Endorsement: Jon Kessler

 

Endorsement interviews will be held on Aug 23, 24, & 25 in the County Building at approx 6:00 pm. Contact Jon to be on the committee.  There are city council races in San Jose, Mountain View, Santa Clara and Milpitas, plus school board and college district races
