Call to Action Meeting

Please join us next Saturday morning, June 19th, for our June Call to Action Meeting from 9am-12noon. This is our monthly meeting where county activists come together to talk about how we are forging ahead in taking back the White House, the Senate and the Congress, as well as winning crucial local elections.

We will hold two trainings at this meeting: a precinct captain training and voter registration training.

A precinct captain adopts a precinct, usually their own neighborhood, meets all Democrats, as well as contacts non-registered potential voters, and keeps in communication with them regarding the election season. The goal is to engage your neighbors and make sure they vote for the Democratic slate. We are recruiting at least one precinct captain for each precinct in Santa Clara County. It is a highly rewarding activity, and provides crucial face-to-face communication from the Party to voters. At this Call to Action, we will be providing detailed training to facilitate your being a precinct captain, block captain (same idea as a precinct captain, but just for your block), or assistant to a captain. This is an important training for anyone who is interested participating in this most valuable activity.

Please join us for this exciting morning of activism. Don’t worry if you are a new volunteer and have not participated in the Call to Action activities thus far; we will have an introductory section to bring you up to speed. You will have a great opportunity to participate and add your own creativity, talent, time and energy into making Santa Clara County the leader in reclaiming our country.

Please invite any of your friends or colleagues who are interested in getting involved with the Democratic Party. RSVP to 408-445-9500. We’ll see you on the 19th!
