Join us to hear Donnie Fowler, runner up to the DNC Chair, talk about How We Win in Red States. His talk will help us understand the Red and Swing State Presidential and Congressional organization and how it differs in these areas.
Donnie Fowler is a native of South Carolina. He led John Kerry's victory in Michigan as State Director. The State campaign set turnout records while pursuing aggressive, non-traditional strategies with religious and rural voters. The Michigan assignment was only the latest in an 18-year campaign journey across the country and back again. From 2001 to 2003, Fowler worked as Vice President of TechNet, a national policy and political network of information technology and biotechnology CEOs, senior executives, and venture capitalists. TechNet builds and maintains bridges between the country's top policymakers and leaders of the nation's tech communities. It is also the largest political fundraising organization in the technology world, raising millions of dollars each cycle for candidates and party committees. Fowler served as Al Gore's National Field Director from 1999-2000. From 1997-1999, Fowler served as a presidential appointee at the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, DC. In 1995 and 1997, he worked in the Clinton White House as a liaison to Congress.
With his widespread experience and personal knowledge of the challenges of Swing and Red States Donnie Fowler will bring us the insider perspective on grassroots success in Swing and Red States.
The talk with be followed by a question and answer session and breakout groups discussing activities we will do to support winning and fundraising for success in these all important States on the road to taking back the Presidency.
