The Moorpark Democratic Club would like to invite its members and local Democratic Volunteers to a special meet your legislature meeting featuring three-term Assemblywoman Rebecca Cohn. Northside Community Center, 488 N. 6th St, San Jose, 7:00 pm.
Assembly Woman Cohn represents the 24th Assembly District which is comprised of much of Silicon Valley, from her hometown of Saratoga to Campbell and parts of San Jose and Santa Clara. Ms. Cohn has built a tremendous a record in the state legislature. During her first year in office, Ms. Cohn served as Chair of the Assembly Committee on Aging and Long-Term Care where she worked to expand affordable long-term care coverage and increased oversight of adult-day health care and evaluated the need to protect seniors from legal fraud. As the chairperson of both the Assembly Select Committee on Domestic Violence and the Select Committee on the Future of California's Health during her second term, the Assembly Woman worked to raise the awareness and to reduce domestic violence across the state.
