The Peninsula Democratic Coalition and SPARC are co-sponsoring a debate between Democratic Ira Ruskin and his Republican opponent, Steve Poizner, both running for the 21st Assembly District seat. Dick Henning, well known locally for the highly successful "Celebrity Speaker Forum" held at De Anza College, will serve as moderator. The panel for the debate will consist of John Wildermuth, political columnist for the San Francisco
Chronicle; Jennifer Files, Assistant Peninsula Bureau Chief and election coverage coordinator for the San Jose Mercury-News; Tim Roberts of the San Jose Business Journal; and Mark Simon, who produces and hosts a public access television program on the Peninsula, as well as writing for the SF Chronicle and other local newspapers.
