No on Proposition 54 House Party

On Saturday October 4th, 4-6 pm, long time NOW activist Joyce Sogg will host a "No on Proposition 54" house party. NOW, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, AAUW-California, and the California Medical Association are all against Proposition 54, the information ban.

Place: 123 Bella Vista Avenue, Los Gatos, CA 95030

Donations will benefit the Santa Clara County Coalition for an Informed California, which is spearheading the campaign against Proposition 54 in Santa Clara County. Donations are not tax deductible.

For more information, contact either Joyce Sogg at joycelawyer@earthlink.net or call her at (408) 354-5122.

Proposition 54 would prevent state, county and local government from collecting life saving data about race, ethnicity, and national origin. White women have the highest incidence of breast cancer. Vietnamese women have the highest rate of cervical cancer. Latino children are 38% less likely to receive prescription medication compared to white children being seen for the same illness. African Americans have the highest HIV rate.

Data on race and national origin helps health care organizations track and prevent diseases. Without this life saving data, lives will be lost. We must oppose Proposition 54, because it is very harmful to Californians.

Please join Joyce Sogg at her "No on Proposition 54" house party.
